Namaste beloveds
What a Cosmic feast we are having this October, with Navaratri just gone, Mission Day coming up on Friday 28th and Diwali, Festival of Light beginning that day. We are celebrating it with a retreat at the Abode of Peace starting Saturday 29th, which will go to Thursday morning 3 November. It is a festival of happiness and joy, allowing full illumination of our consciousness to take place, celebrating all that is good and wonderful in creation.
A five day festival celebrating the benevolence of the Divine, the main auspicious day this year is Sunday 30th, which is also our lineage holder, Gayatri Kamadhenu’s birthday!
On Saturday we will learn about the interesting stories of Diwali and how these things apply in our lives as well as having blessings and music and an evening Lakshmi fire puja. For instance, Mother Kali blesses everyone’s writing implements and Mother Saraswati blesses new books of accounts.
Everything is cleaned and made ready for the light to pour in.
On Sunday 30th we will have Satsang in the morning, then a big Lakshmi fire puja with multiple havens after Satsang, (open to all) then lunch. Retreat participants will enjoy music and integration time after the fire puja in an afternoon session.
Monday through Thursday with Shakti Durga and sometimes with Parvati Sundari, will be fully charged days of Divine program and spiritual lift and shift. The festival themes of the victory of light over dark, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair will emerge in just the right way to feed our souls.
The program will culminate with another Lakshmi fire puja on Thursday morning, which will conclude our retreat.
Should you wish to sponsor any of the Lakshmi fire pujas during Diwali please contact Reception at the Abode of Peace at info@shantimission.org or phone (02) 4977 3300 for more information about this priceless opportunity.
Many blessings to each of you and may you be open to the Divine treasury of illumination and grace more than ever before
Shakti Durga
