Sunrise Solstice Meditation
One of the ways we can get in tune with the rhythms of nature is to attune to the seasons and their passing. There are 8 major turning points in the solar year. There are two equinoxes, which occur on the day when the night and day are of equal length. Usually this is 21 March and 21 September. Then, there are two solstices, which are the days when there is the longest amount of daylight, or the shortest amount, depending upon whether it is the summer or winter solstice. They occur around the 21 of June and December. The time exactly midway between an equinox and solstice form the other key dates for changing tides of energy. These are usually around the first day of February, May, August and November.
Sunday 21 June marks the summer solstice for the northern hemisphere and the winter solstice here in Australia. The time for sunrise on this day is 7.43 AM. We will be offering a Solstice meditation from 7am through Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87302385438 and Shanti Mission Events Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/ShantiMissionEvents
Back when humanity was far more in touch with nature, temples and rings of standing stones were oriented in such a way that the light would penetrate them exactly on solstices or equinoxes.
Feel the energy of the sun and the way your own energy field interacts with it.
Let’s expand into our relationship with the sun, the Earth and nature, and see how the Great Spirit guides us that day to honour the solstice. This is likely to be a strong experience of the bliss of nature, elevating us into harmony with seasons of time, the cycles of our soul’s plan unfolding, and the inherent sacredness of life in every aspect.
