An annual celebration of the event, on 28 October 2006, that began Shakti Durga’s journey as disciple to Parameshwari and Guru to those who are called to our amazing path of self-realisation . Traditionally the community celebrate Mission Day on or close to 28 October but in 2024 Shakti Durga will be in India on the anniversary so Mission Day will be celebrated on Sunday 13 October immediately following the Navaratri Festival.
Come for Navaratri, stays for Mission Day on Sunday 13 October.
2024 marks 18 years of an incredible journey that has touched many lives. In 2006 the people present when the inner world opened to Shakti Durga were also affected by the energy and Divine presence. We will be holding Mission Day at the very same spot, where the energy of that event is held in the land. Our serene and beautiful Harmony Centre will play host to a day of spiritual celebration and blessings, music and awakening.
This is one of the sacred days of the year where Shakti Durga offers initiations, spiritual names or welcome to the school or discipleship for those wanting a deeper dive into the mysteries.
Discipleship is a sacred and precious agreement, one must be ready to deepen into the relationship. For this reason we ask that anyone wishing to be considered for discipleship contact registrar@shaktidurga.com by Friday 11 October. Shakti Durga asks for time to consider each applicant; we will not be able to honour requests made on the day. However, all requests can be recorded for later initiation when the time is right in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
Mission Day celebration is offered by donation. Donations to our charity The Well Being Initiative are from your heart, are tax deductible and used to support the work of our amazing community.
On this special day a devotee’s heart can yearn to offer a gift of appreciation to Shakti Durga. This year we are asked to offer financial contributions in support of our new community cows. There will also be a compilation of your written words of appreciation.
How blessed we have been to receive 4 cows into our spiritual community. Proper cow care and management is a big undertaking, there is much to be done, including feeding and fencing. If you would like to be a financial supporter of the cows and Shakti Durga (as custodian on behalf of the community), your single or recurring contributions are appreciated.
Please send funds directly to Shakti Durga’s Cow account:
Kim Durga
BSB: 082-201
Account: 453648328.
As this is a personal account, from which feed is purchased and farm needs are sourced, we are not able to offer receipts and tax deductions do not apply. This is just a gift that is deeply appreciated by Shakti Durga, our cows and our community which is benefiting from the strong spiritual energy being generated through their presence and the daily spiritual practices that are happening with them.
May you be richly blessed for your generous support of the unfolding gifts, wonder and delight that the cows offer.
Words of Appreciation: a book will be compiled with the written words of all devotees who wish to contribute. Devotees from around the world can make an offering by emailing a message to info@shaktidurga.com, please use the subject “Mission Day gift”; your message will be printed and included in the book. It will assist us greatly if your message is received by Saturday, thank you. If attending in-person you may like to handwrite your contribution any time between now and Sunday (making your offering before Sunday where possible is very helpful, thank you).
