Unconditional self love is a state in which we forget our separateness (in which we judge ourselves by comparison with others and with some imagined ideals or “shoulds”) and instead experience ourselves in oneness with all. In this way, we discover compassion for all that we have formerly criticised within us, and consequently discover more compassion for the faults of others. We are liberated to transform ourselves with love and kindness, and to move forward with the most beautiful parts of us enlivened.
From the unity of unconditional self-love, we avail ourselves of all the psychological resources we require to inspire, uplift and support ourselves into the progress and achievement we seek. We boost ourselves towards our goals, and cultivate a kind of inner glow; a wellspring of love, which overflows and radiates out to others.
Unconditional self-love is a pathway to other unconditional positive states: particularly, unconditional joy and peace. These states of consciousness are full of inspiration, motivation and the capacity to express all that we are – not because we are forcing ourselves to, but because it is naturally overflowing through us.
In this four-session program, we will be working with the psychological toolkit of self-compassion, as well as a spiritual toolkit of unconditional love that Gayatri has been studying in the Himalayas. We will be healing and transforming the inner critic, moving from judgement to compassion, anxiety to trust, separation to unity, and lack to love.
Healing meditations – healing the inner critic and letting go of old habits of using self-harshness to keep ourselves safe.
Teachings on self-compassion and unconditional love, based both in psychological and spiritual toolkits.
Exercises to overcome our separateness, develop our self-compassion, and cultivate the oneness and connectedness that fosters unconditional love and joy.
