Walk with Babanginy - Connection with the. Nature of Self

PLEASE NOTE – Saturday 17th of November has been cancelled and this will be the last gathering in this area – Sunday 24th at 12.30pm.

Aunty Babanginy / Michelle Slater invites you to walk with her, see the Facebook event HERE.

Gathering straight after the Community Satsang at the Harmony Centre, (the public are welcome to join this event too) lets gather for a cuppa, a shared lunch and then we will drive to a nearby location for a walk in nature, Dadirri – a deep connection, story telling, ceremony and an opportunity to commune with the essence of water, our deep waters and the transformation of deep energy into motion.

Please wear comfortable clothing for a walk (it is an easy walk) with plenty of mosquito repellent because we will be immersing ourselves into grandmother country with the sheoaks, the paperbarks and the essence of nurturing the self.

We will also explore bush tucker and medicines in the area and look at ways to caretake self (as the land) the environment (as country and our relations) and humanity as a whole.

Come along with an open and curious heart and learn the indigenous ways and culture held within deep healing, being of service and caretaking country.

All ages welcome. You may wish to bring a back pack with water, a small rug or towel to sit and something to take photos. Please bring something to share for lunch before we leave, inviting an informal introduction between the group.

May we walk with open hearts, hands and gentle footprints, only leaving love in our wake.

Donations are shared between Babanginy and the Harmony Centre and we will be offering service to the land, the Dreaming and songlines.

Wear appropriate clothing for outdoors, sun, wind and mosquito protection and a camping chair for comfort. Good walking shoes or those easy to get on and off for ceremony.

A share plate for lunch. Sunday walks will start around 1.30pm and will be according to people’s needs and capacity, so it’s available to all.
