seva

Volunteer with us

‘Seva’ is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service”.

In ancient India, Seva was believed to help one’s spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community. This is the art of giving with no need to receive, where the act itself is a gift to everyone involved. Seva is the art of blessed action.

Volunteering has been a tremendous blessing. When I transcribe Shakti Durga’s teachings,  it’s like I am given access to hidden gems in my own time.  The priceless teachings that come through the seva are exactly what I need to learn right at that moment.

It is such a blessing to be able to serve Shakti Durga and the community by volunteering.  Every moment I am doing seva I can feel my energy lift and my connection to the Divine so strongly.  I love knowing I am helping in some small way be a conduit for spreading this invaluable and ineffable energy where the Divine takes it.
