There are times when it would be lovely to be able to reach into the expanded world of the Divine, and receive a clear, unequivocal answer about exactly what we should do at any given point in our lives.
The issue here can be that we have gotten out of the habit of trusting our intuitive awareness. It can be very helpful to have spiritual teachers and inner plane guides to connect us back into our soul’s knowing and the Divine essence of who each of us be.
Out of kindness, the Infinite provided us with untold numbers of spirit guides, gods, goddesses, Angelic beings and vast illumined wise loving Great Ones on the inner plane. The Divine intended that we would naturally turn to them for help, which was the way it was since the dawn of time, until relatively recent centuries. All we need to do is ask for their help, and they will start to change the way things are sitting in our subtle fields of light, aligning us bit by bit with what they can perceive to be the inner truth of our heart, and our area of petition.Â
In my own life it has been truly uplifting to learn to connect with the Great Ones. They are literally created to help anyone who sincerely asks for their help.Â
Start by asking for help from loving inner plane guides, Angelic or God/desses. Call them into your life each day, in the names and styles that seem most comfortable to you. Ask them about the areas in which you would like some help. You will find that over time the connection will be established, and they will help you to discover your own inner language of light.
Which of the Great ones seem most appealing to you? Start there. People of the West used to be familiar with many Goddesses such as Isis and Artemis, Gods like Apollo and Archangels such as the great Lord Michael. The people of the East have such a smorgasbord of Holy Beings and perhaps greater ease of access to them because the cultural matrix still incorporates the rites and rituals through which they can be invoked, in living traditions of light. First Nations people have always known about and interacted with their own traditional deities, different throughout the world, but similar in their uplifting, guiding helpfulness. We can call on any of them, and even tap into forgotten sacred relationships that we have had with them in past lives. When that happens, establishment of the connection is fast and powerful.Â
There are two parts to this: who are you calling on, and what are you asking for?
Here is what I often say before meditating, giving healing or at the beginning of a seminar:Â
(Who)
I call on the Supreme Being, Divine Father and Mother.
I call upon my higher soul and all of the loving spirit guides, teachers and friends who love me unconditionally.
I call on the Goddess Durga, on Lord Ganesha, on Archangels Michael, Raphael, Uriel and Gabriel. I call on the spirit of the Earth and Sun.
(What)
Please help me to arise into the highest and best consciousness today. May I make wise decisions, be love on legs and a pure channel for Divine light, love and empowerment. Please work through me, to inspire, heal and lift myself and others. Thank you.
I am sure you can come up with your own team, and words of petition. This kind of short, regularly used prayer becomes a settling tool. It helps me enter easily into meditation or into the ‘zen’ state in which healing and uplifting, blissful energies flow most abundantly. Â
You can find your own words, and use them regularly. This is an investment in a very small amount of time that will hold you through all kinds of situations and help you find the glimmers of light even in the hardest, most challenging and darkest of times in your life.
Should you like some help with this, finding your voice invoking the Divine is something that we look at in our Ignite Your Spirit programs which run at The Harmony Centre and online.
